After graduating from business school in Paris, I moved to London to improve my English and interned at a small accounting firm. I moved to Canada in 1997 and received my Chartered Accountant designation with Ernst & Young. After 5 years in audit and advisory services, I switched to industry and joined Pollock Rentals, a national leasing company in London, Ontario and was quickly promoted to Corporate Controller of the seven company group. I spearheaded the successful divestiture of the group’s operating assets for $75M in 2007 – participating in negotiations and advising on valuation, legal, regulatory and tax issues, and then worked closely with the buyer on the transition of the business.

Upon completion, I relocated to Montreal for personal reasons and quickly fell in love with the city for its dynamism and creativity. I joined BCA Research in 2008, a global investment research firm and largest subsidiary of Euromoney Institutional Investor, PLC, a FTSE 250 company. I had a progressive career with BCA, as the CFO for the last six years, advising the Board on significant investment plans, developing international cash management and tax strategies with Euromoney, and also working closely with the London M&A group. I was notably involved in the $112M acquisition and subsequent integration of Ned Davis Research, based in Florida.

I have now reached the stage in my career where I want to build my own business. I realized that this was a passion I had to pursue after my mentoring experiences with young entrepreneurs through Futurpreneur. My goal is to leverage my skills and expertise, and straightforward and practical management style to help companies grow and gain an international presence. And so HexaB Consulting was born, a management consulting boutique providing practical solutions to help businesses transform in order to move to the next level.

I am a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, “l’Association des Femmes en Finance au Québec” and “Anges Québec” (angel investors).

After completing my studies, I joined BCA Research in 1986 as head of technology and then proceeded to have a 25 year progressive career with the company, becoming a partner and COO. Over this period of time the business grew from a small boutique to the world’s largest independent investment research providers. I was instrumental in crafting and implementing successful strategies to drive revenue growth through an expanded product line, a revised marketing strategy and the development of a global sales presence.

BCA’s parent company, Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, acquired Ned Davis Research, a Florida based financial research firm in 2011. I worked closely with the Board on the acquisition strategy and due diligence and was appointed CEO upon closing. Over the next three years, I successfully implemented an aggressive post acquisition strategy which involved sales, product development and shifting the revenue model.

Over my career I have attended numerous leadership and management programs including those at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and Churchill College at the University of Cambridge. I enjoy mentoring entrepreneurs through my association with Futurpreneur Canada.
